Monkton, Maryland (April 13, 2026) — Ladew Topiary Gardens, a world-renowned destination just north of Baltimore, will host its 18th Annual Garden Festival on Saturday, May 2, 2026. Ladew’s longest-running fundraiser welcomes a curated collection of exclusive vendors from across the United States that offer hard-to-find perennials, specialty annuals, unique small trees, unusual exotics, container plants, decorative garden furniture, urns, antiques, and architectural treasures.

This annual ticketed event consistently draws vendors and enthusiasts from throughout the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond. Garden Festival opens to ticket holders at 8 a.m. and runs until 4 p.m., rain or shine.

Ladew’s Garden Festival Marketplace Tent will return for its second year, with an expanded collection of specialty indoor plants, garden antiques, artisan goods, and ornamental accents, making it a must-shop destination for gardeners and garden lovers alike.

Ticket Proceeds: Ticket proceeds from Garden Festival go directly to the preservation of the 22-acre historic topiary gardens, historic Manor House, the native Butterfly House, Nature Walk, the Children’s Environmental Education Programs that serve nearly 4,000 children each year, and the array of more than 100 events and educational programs offered to the community.

Friends of the Garden Festival Exclusive Preview Party, Friday, May 1: The Preview Party & Early Shopping Event will take place on Friday, May 1, from 5–8 p.m. exclusively for Friends of the Garden Festival. Friends of the Festival enjoy first access to shop vendors while savoring cocktails and garden party fare on the beautiful grounds. The 2026 Preview Party will again offer convenient plant pick-up for larger purchases. Information on becoming a Friend of the Festival and available sponsorship levels can be found on Ladew’s website.

About Ladew Topiary Gardens: Ladew Topiary Gardens has received the prestigious “Top Five North American Gardens Worth Traveling For” award from the Canadian Garden Tourism Council and was deemed “the Most Outstanding Topiary Garden in America” by the Garden Club of America. Ladew was featured as one of “10 Incredible Topiary Gardens around the World” by Architectural Digest.
Ladew is located on Jarrettsville Pike (MD 146), 14 miles north of the Baltimore Beltway (I-695), exit 27B (Dulaney Valley Road North). Ladew Topiary Gardens is a nonprofit, 501 (c)(3) organization whose mission is “to maintain and promote the Gardens, House and facilities in keeping with the creative spirit of Harvey S. Ladew for the public benefit and for educational, scientific and cultural pursuits.”
Both the House and Gardens are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
