Friendly’s Sinks Its Teeth Into Halloween With Fang Conehead, Free Kids' Meals and a Costume Contest
The Conehead Crew welcomes a fang-tastic new member as costumes, cards and sweet deals take over Friendly's all October long
DALLAS (Oct. 15, 2026) — Friendly's is turning October into one long trick-or-treat run, and the Conehead Crew is leading the charge. Building on the kids' experience that debuted this fall, the iconic chain is rolling out a season of Halloween promotions built to keep kids collecting, dressing up and coming back for more, with plenty of festive fun for the whole family along the way.
Starting Oct. 17, Friendly's is introducing Fang, an ultra-rare Conehead card that isn't sold, packaged or traded like the rest of the lineup. The only way to claim one is to walk in wearing a Conehead costume from Oct. 17-31, while supplies last.
Also starting on Oct. 17, guests who show up to Friendly’s dressed in their Halloween best can snap a photo, post it and tag Friendly's on social media for a chance to win a $200 Friendly's gift card. No purchase necessary to enter.
Then comes the main event: on Oct. 31, kids in costume eat FREE with the purchase of an adult entree, available across every location for one day only. For families already juggling costume changes and Halloween parties, mealtime is one less thing to plan this year.
"Guests have spent the last month turning these characters into their own, giving them backstories, arguing over who's the best one," said Erik Jensen, vice president of marketing for BRIX Holdings. "Halloween gives them a reason to become one for a night. We made Fang impossible to buy on purpose. A card you can only earn by showing up in costume means more than one you found in a pack, and that's the kind of core memory a kid holds onto."
The lineup builds on the momentum of Friendly's Kids Experience Program, which launched alongside the Conehead Crew, collectible trading cards and a Back to School kids' meal deal.
